We are delighted to announce the appointment to the position of Imam of Masjid Al-Hidaya, Shaikh Mazhar Mahmoud Patel. Imam Mazhar Patel shall be starting with ISCB on April 15, 2018 Bi Iznillah.
He has served in the capacity of Imam, chaplain and teacher/lecturer in Kamloops, BC and Lac La Biche, Alberta and a number of other Canadian and US cities. He is multilingual in Arabic, Urdu, Hindi, Gujarati and Persian (Academic) and has attained Masters in Islamic Theology/Divinity from Darul-Uloom Zakariyya in South Africa in Arabic language, exegesis of the Holy Qur’ān, Ḥadīth Sciences, Tajwīd, Creed and Islamic Jurisprudence and has earned authorization in Ḥadith from renowned scholars like the Grand Muftī of South Africa. He is also Hafizul-Quran.
