Lebanon Aid One of the largest non-nuclear blasts in history.

The world is still reeling from the news, and Beirut is crumbling from the effects of the catastrophic explosion on August 4th, 2020. These effects will continue to be felt for a long time to come, but now is the time to act:

In response to this crisis, the ISBC is collaborating with the International Development and Relief Foundation (IDRF) which is doubling its efforts in a country already strained due to near socio-economic collapse, and a recent surge in COVID-19. Much of the infrastructure around the blast, including the port and distribution centres, are destroyed. This makes effective relief efforts very difficult, and for most organizations nearly impossible.

What Beirut needs is emergency medical aid and food. This is exactly what IDRF is able to provide right now. IDRF was working to meet the growing need in Lebanon prior to this event. So IDRF already has food parcels and medical supplies inside Lebanon ready to be distributed. Within the next few days, IDRF will be distributing food parcels and medical aid to those in Beirut and affected areas.
