New Website Address!
The Islamic Society of British Columbia (ISBC) and Masjid Al-Hidayah are delighted to announce the launch of our website under a new address “TheISBC.ca” to replace the old address (islam-canada .com).
“TheISBC.ca” has been selected to reflect our organization and Canadian identity which will define our online presence uniquely.
What happened to our old website address “islam-canda.com”?
As you may know that "islam-canada.com" has been the official website of the ISBC and Masjid Al-Hidayah for almost 20 years. Unfortunately, our website has not been reachable since Tuesday November 24, 2020 because the website link to our hosting server has been changed suddenly. So, we contacted the registrar of our domain to fix the issue but the registrar declined to help because they could not verify any of the current ISBC board members as an admin or the ISBC as the owner of the domain. So, the registrar contacted the administrator on file to get their permission to allow the ISBC to take ownership and administration of the domain but sadly this person has denied the ISBC ownership rights of islam-canada .com domain and as a result the registrar refused to cooperate any further on this matter. We believe this administrator may be an ex-member or ex-contractor of the ISBC who was involved in setting up the website in the past. So the ISBC decided to expedite its plan to create a new website by re-deploying the current content under the new address which was registered in February 2020. and there will be more major updates coming inshallah, so stay tuned!
The ISBC is not associated with islam-canada.com anymore and the ISBC is not responsible for any online activity or content published on or sent from islam-canada .com.
